Ateneo includes CEH in Graduate Law Program

The Philippine-based Ateneo de Manila University has, for the first time, incorporated EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH) into the Law School’s Graduate Law program.

This means, the CEH course, which is being offered as an elective, is now available to the Law School’s 600 existing law students.

The Ateneo de Manila opened its Law School in l936.

“CEH is the most logical progression for most IT security programs. By offering the CEH program to our law students, we are giving them the opportunity to undertake a course that is interesting, valuable and complements their knowledge in law,” said Jonathan Miclat, a faculty member of Ateneo Information Technology Institute (AITI).

He said that the CEH and the Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) programs will be doubly relevant for law students who wish to specialize in cyber law.

These programs will also be useful for students who wish to pursue careers as law enforcement officers, military personnel, e-Business security officers, systems administrators, banking and insurance professionals and/or government officials.
