PricewaterhouseCoopers now an EC-Council ATC

PricewaterhouseCoopers Panama is now an EC-Council Accredited Training Center (ATC). By taking on this lead role, PWC Panama is proactively promoting awareness and education in information security. PricewaterhouseCoopers Panama’s move to be an EC-Council ATC reflects the seriousness in quality of the training PricewaterhouseCoopers Panama places in training its clients and staff.

President of EC-Council, Jay Bavisi, said, “We are thrilled to have PWC Panama onboard as one of our Accredited Training Partners. Its leadership in placing emphasis on quality security training should be applauded.”

Julio Jolly, Advisory Global Risk Management Solutions Manager (GRMS) at PricewaterhouseCoopers Panama, commented, “EC-Council certifications are well recognized by the IT industry as value-add qualifications particularly for security professionals. We are pleased to be appointed as an EC-Council ATC. I believe this partnership will be beneficial for both parties.”

One of the certifications that PricewaterhouseCoopers Panama will offer is the Certified Ethical Hacker course. It is aimed at security officers, auditors, security professionals, site administrators and anyone who is concerned about the integrity of the network infrastructure. The Certified Ethical Hacker certification teaches students how to look for weaknesses and vulnerabilities on systems using the same skills, knowledge and tools as a malicious hacker. This enables the student to carry out non-destructive penetration testing and implement countermeasures to safeguard systems.

Benefit from marketing these Programs

EC-Council has recently secured a license to operate a post graduate degree granting university,EC-Council University, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. This is a significant leap forward for EC-Council and establishes EC-Council’s standing in the area of e-business and security education.

ATCs are advised to educate previous clients that have taken EC-Council training or certifications that they are entitled to credit transfers should they intend to attain these Master’s qualifications. This will lead to up selling and cross selling opportunities for all training centers.

The Master of Security Science (MSS) will cover information security topics and prepares students to manage computer security and incidence response. Students will gain a wide understanding of security science. Part of the core modules are the Certified Ethical Hacker and Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator courses which each render 3 semester credits upon completion.
