EC-Council Certified
Security Analyst (ECSA)
Complementing the CEH program, the
ECSA program explores the analytical aspect of information security.
Whilst CEH introduces the tools and technologies used in the hacking
world, ECSA focuses on the analysis of the outcomes from hacking
endeavors.
Participants in the ECSA program are
exposed to groundbreaking penetration testing methodologies and
technologies. This knowledge helps in performing intensive
assessments to effectively identify and mitigate risks in
information security systems and networks.
The ECSA program covers the strategic
issues faced by organizations such as the causes of security flaws
and the implications it has on management. Advanced ethical hacking
is also covered and participants will learn how to design, secure
and test networks, thus avoiding and eliminating security threats
and problems.
Besides knowing the tricks of the
trade of hackers, security professionals need to know how to examine
and analyze the security environment for vulnerabilities as well as
determine how to safeguard the system or network from being
infiltrated by black hat hackers. The ECSA program explores these
areas in-depth.
Vigilar’s Consultants Selected to
Author EC-Council's Certified Security Analyst Courseware

consulting firm, based in Atlanta was selected to work on the ECSA
courseware by EC-Council. Having immense hands-on consulting
experience in the area of information security defense, Vigilar

summarized the know-how on how to defend a system against these
malicious attacks. Thus, the ECSA program, which is vendor neutral,
serves as a very practical guide and learning tool for security
professionals worldwide.
