·         It educates the home user who transacts over the Internet or has to supervise a ward on appropriate access of resources.

·         It  caters to the need of the increasingly computer conversant student population who are unaware of simple practices that can go a long way in ensuring secure computing.

Diploma's in Cybersecurity launched worldwide with EC-Council's curricula

In what can be hailed as a pioneering step, Informatics, a Singapore based multinational corporation, that has been providing lifelong learning services in information technology and management since 1983, has partnered with EC-Council to provide the world’s first academic program in networks and cyber security on a global scale, leading to a University degree.

Informatics has been one of EC-Council’s key partners to drive the growth of  cyber security programs globally. It has forged strategic partnerships in many of its operations globally in Asia, Middle East and Africa and with exclusive agreements inMexico, Indonesia and Japan.

Cyber security has emerged as the leading cause of concern among Governments and corporates all over the world. Cyber terrorism, cyber hacking and network security issues have caused the demand for well-qualified security professionals to skyrocket over the last couple of years.

The International Diploma and International Advanced Diploma in Networks and Cyber security will lead to a Bachelor of Information Technology degree from the University of Southern Queensland ( Australia ). The course will provide in-depth coverage of network and cyber security, with hands-on laboratory sessions to maximise the learning experience. The main focus of the programme will be on applications and practical ‘know-hows’.

Upon completion of the programme, students would not only obtain the International Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Networks and Cyber security, but also the Certificate in Network Security Foundations, Certificate in Ethical Hacking Foundations and Certificate in Computer Forensic Foundations – three certifications awarded by the EC-Council.
