EC-Council| Secure Aid™ the brainchild of EC-Council, strives to provide a platform for the attainment of knowledge regardless of certification affiliation and aims to support national and global security measures on combating cyber crime and cyber terrorism. EC-Council welcomes outstanding individuals who have contributed meaningfully in the IT Security domain and possess the desire to update their information security certification skills to apply for EC-Council’s scholarship. We hope to alleviate the pain of some information security professionals who have been affected by the global economic crisis and at the same time, we hope to empower the information security community and the world at large to fight cyber crime and cyber warfare. We are proud to be vendor neutral and independent in our pursuit of empowering knowledge seekers to uphold the sanctity of their information security assets and in ensuring that every certified professional upholds the best practices in penetration testing and be in the forefront of the industry’s compliant requirements. |

Scope of Scholarship
Enrollment in the following choice of courses:
- EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- EC-Council Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI)
- EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA)
- Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT)
- EC-Council Certified Disaster Recovery Professional (EDRP)
40 Scholarships Available Total of 40 full and partial scholarships available totaling US$100,000
Successful candidates shall be entitled to full or partial training fees and exam voucher waiver for year 2009/2010 excluding courseware. Please click HERE for details on tuition and related fees
Duration of courses offered – 5 day live, online, instructor led training. The courses are all approximately 36 instruction hours in length delivered either in four hour time blocks, twice a week in the evening for 5 weeks, or in 5 consecutive days in 8 hour time blocks

 | Criteria
- Possess more than 2 years of IT work experience;
- Preferably possess one of the following certifications: CISSP; CISM; CISA; GPEN; GCIH; GIAC; GIAC; SSCP; SCNA; SCNP; GSLC; GISP; ISSMP; ISSEP; ISSAP;
- Professionals unable to train and certify due to economic constraints such as layoff, budgetary cutbacks, and other influences preventing professional development in Information Security may be given preference
- Submit an informative white paper or case study between 500 to 3000 words on any relevant information security topic that would benefit the Information Security community. The white paper must be original and factual and free from plagiarism. All references and excerpts must be cited as all submissions will be fact checked. Note: EC-Council reserves the right to publish any of the White Paper/ Case Study submitted on its website and shall provide due recognition to the author.
Application Details
Applicants should complete the Application Form in the prospectus with the following documents: - Official transcript of certification;
- Professional resume;
- Provide two letters of referral (Professional);
- A statement of work experience in Information Security;
- A white paper or case study between 500 to 3000 words on any information security topic that would benefit the security community (See Terms & Conditions for stipulations).

Conditions
1. Recipients are required to:
- Pursue the prescribed course;
- Recipient must comply with EC-Council’s Code of Ethics and Legal and Privacy Statement as specified in EC-Council’s website;
- Recipient must not be in violation to the law or have any previous conviction;
- Sign and accept the terms of acceptance at the point of the award of the scholarship.
2. Termination
- Scholarship can be terminated if progress and attendance is deemed unsatisfactory;
- EC-Council can terminate the scholarship if the recipient breaches any provisions in the agreement.
