It is already triaging alerts, identifying anomalies, and even creating phishing emails to get past traditional cybersecurity techniques. However, it is also generating false positives and missing context that humans pick up intuitively, all while opening entirely new attack surfaces. Instead, AI is likely to widen the gap between security professionals who use AI effectively and responsibly and those who cannot.  <\/strong><\/em>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e4c8418 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"e4c8418\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">AI and Cybersecurity: Current Adoption Trends <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d1d616b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d1d616b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWalk into SOCs today, and you will most likely find some form of AI running quietly in the background, from triaging alerts and scoring risks to generating incident summaries. A staggering 40% of SOCs have already fully deployed AI, while another 56% are assessing its viability through evaluations or pilot programs. Just 4% have no plans to adopt AI at all (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.prophetsecurity.ai\/blog\/state-of-ai-in-the-soc-2026\" target=\"_blank\">Prophet AI<\/a>, 2026). In other words, almost nobody is passing up the opportunity to explore or adopt AI. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-273cde4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"273cde4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>But here is what most people do not talk about: implementing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eccouncil.org\/cybersecurity-exchange\/ethical-hacking\/artificial-intelligence-ai-in-cybersecurity\/\">AI in cybersecurity<\/a> is one thing; ensuring that AI works effectively is another.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b60df9f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b60df9f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOnly 10% of SOC teams rate their perceived value of AI in the SOC as \u201cexcellent,\u201d while a further 19% rate it as providing \u201cgood value.\u201d That leaves 71% who felt AI had yielded only \u201csome\u201d or no value (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.soc-cmm.com\/img\/upload\/files\/66-soc-maturity-report-2026.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">SOC-CMM<\/a>, 2026).\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aed162a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"aed162a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOne possibility behind the gap between adoption and value could be the ad hoc adoption of powerful tools into critical workflows that were not necessarily built for them. While AI is no longer a future consideration for security operations, the priority now lies in understanding how best to take advantage of it and stay ahead of the competition and adversaries. Deepfakes are increasingly used to impersonate executives through video or voice calls to authorize fraudulent schemes that can result in financial and reputational damage.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-25e7113 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"25e7113\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Adaptive, Evasive Malware <\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-de5cf46 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"de5cf46\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAI has also reshaped malware development.
