EC-Council assigns the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology to be an Academia Partner in the state of J&K and marks its place in the Ministry of Communications and IT, Government of India.

NIELIT (J&K) is known as the premier training IT-HRD organization located in the cities of Srinagar and Jammu. It offers comprehensive training programs in the subject of Computer Application and is designated as an IT advisor to the J&K Govt. for all e-Governance projects.

With the vision of Skill Development and Capacity Building, EC-Council assigned NIELIT to be the Academia Partner to create awareness and impart the knowledge of the various Information Security subjects in the state. With coinciding vision of both the organizations and a common goal to achieve, NIELIT will be offering the prestigious CEH and CHFI courses to the public.

These courses will be taught in the training center of NIELIT irrespective of professional background of the interested candidates i.e. CEH and CHFI training can be undertaken by students to professionals to government officials, anyone interested to venture in the domain of Information Security with basic technical knowledge requirements laid down by EC-Council. The course is to be commenced at the earliest offered to the public and the T3 training which is the Train The Trainer trainings have already been scheduled and started.

With this step taken by the J&K Govt. to introduce the subject of cyber-security in its state, soon this subject will see spreading throughout the Indian sub-continent under the government administered education system. This marks a very important leap in the scenario and scope of Information Security subject in today’s educational landscape. With the increasing level of awareness in the corporate sector of cyber-threats, cyber-attacks, data theft and many more damaging effects that the cyber-space brings, Indian Govt. is preparing to take active steps in this fast-pacing domain and imparting the right, precise and application based knowledge of  subjects to construct a cyber-aware and cyber-safe generation.
