With the escalating cybercrime costs estimated at $2 trillion in 2015, cybersecurity is one of the critical aspects of any organization across the world. The Cairo Security Camp 2016 is an exemplary effort in mitigating cybercrime risk by developing skills and capacities together with the pioneer in information-security education, EC-Council. The Cairo Security Camp 2016 is a congregation of information-security professionals from the Middle East and North African regions. The famed conference has trained its first cohort on the renowned C|CISO program from EC-Council as part of their mission to enrich the information-security domain in the MENA region––thereby raising it to global standards.
Bringing in experience and innovation, EC-Council has developed the C|CISO program to train future cybersecurity leaders. The skill-gap issue in the cybersecurity domain has plagued the industry amidst increasing cybercrime losses. The C|CISO program shores up an organization’s security. The C|CISO program includes all the aspects necessary for maintaining the overall security of the organization from an executive standpoint. The first cohort found the C|CISO course to be quite relevant to today’s needs and requirements––while, at the same time, providing the requisite knowledge for enhancing the on-the-job skillset.
EC-Council has been the world’s leading information security certification body since the launch of their flagship program, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), which created the ethical hacking industry in 2002. Since the launch of CEH, EC-Council has added industry-leading programs to their portfolio to cover all aspects of information security including EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA), Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (CHFI), Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), among others. EC-Council Foundation, the non-profit branch of EC-Council, created Global CyberLympics, the world’s first global hacking competition. EC-Council Foundation also hosts a suite of conferences across the US and around the world including Hacker Halted, Global CISO Forum, TakeDownCon, and CISO Summit.
