Speaker Bio:
Marylyn Harris is a Cybersecurity Consultant in Healthcare IT Security and Privacy, a Registered Nurse, War Veteran, Keynote Speaker, Writer and Social Entrepreneur. Harris brings over 30 years of education and rich experiences from a global career in healthcare, business and community service. Harris began her Cybersecurity “career pivot” in 2018 by attending a free CompTia Network+ five (5) day Bootcamp. Intrigued with IT Cybersecurity, she found creative ways to highlight her “strengths and transferable skills” while funding a ‘debt-free’ Cybersecurity education. Harris is the recipient of numerous scholarships to renown Cybersecurity events. These include, BlackHat 2019, Grace Hopper Celebration 2019, ISC2 National Congress 2019, ICMCP 2019, RSA 2020, HIMSS 2020 and WiCyS 2020. In 2019, Harris started the ‘Women Veterans TECH Careers and TECH Business Initiative’ with Microsoft, Inc. The free program “informs, educates and empowers Women Veterans (and Military Family Members) to start and grow professional TECH Careers and/or TECH Businesses.” Harris is currently preparing to take the ISC2 Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP) Examination and enter a PhD Program in Cybersecurity Management.

With many organizations switching to working from home, they have been left vulnerable and open to security challenges. In this webinar we will cover the various vulnerable areas and what can be done to secure them.
