EC-Council Gears Up to Select Its 2022 Ethical Hacking Leaderboard Candidates

June 17, 2022, Tampa, Fla.,: Only the best of the best will be selected for this year’s Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) Hall of Fame. One hundred cybersecurity professionals from around the globe who have successfully mastered EC-Council’s C|EH training and scored over 90% on the C|EH exam will be considered for this prestigious honor. Invitations are sent by email to those individuals who have not only excelled in their coursework and on the C|EH exam but are leaders within their communities and auxiliary organizations.

The top 100 participants will be awarded with induction into the 2022 C|EH Hall of Fame. Their names will be added to the 2022 C|EH Leaderboard on EC-Council’s website, which will be accessible to the global cybersecurity audience. This honor gives selected cybersecurity professionals added exposure and recognition among their ethical hacking peers, affiliated organizations, and the information security community

“I’m extremely proud of those who have succeeded in becoming C|EHs and have committed themselves to becoming practitioners in our industry,” says Jay Bavisi, CEO and President of EC-Council Group. “For more than 20 years, EC-Council has been promoting the development of cybersecurity skills around the world. The C|EH Hall of Fame report provides an undeniable account of the positive impact that the C|EH program has had on the careers of countless cyber professionals.”

Introduced in 2003, the C|EH program has been a leading educational tool used by EC-Council for nearly 20 years. Its focus is on providing learners with relevant practical experience through cybersecurity education and training, equipping participants to lawfully penetrate information technology systems as a means of detecting vulnerabilities and defending against exploits. Everyone who earns the C|EH credential leaves the program with an arsenal of tools, a set of impressive hands-on skills, and a wealth of knowledge to bring to the cybersecurity fight.

“We are so proud of those who will be inducted into the C|EH Hall of Fame, not because of their positions alone but because of what they give back to their communities,” says Steve Graham, Senior Vice President of EC-Council Group. “C|EHs represent a community of professionals dedicated, not only to protecting their own respective organizations, but also to giving back to the community.”

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, information security analysts will be the 10th fastest-growing occupation this decade, with a projected growth rate of 33% versus 8% on average for all occupations.
