Charotar University of Science and Technology Offers Cybersecurity Certifications to Full-Time Students Through EC-Council Academia

May 5, 2022, KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) is offering full-time students an additional industry edge through its partnership with EC-Council Academia. This endeavor will enable students to obtain cybersecurity skills and industry-recognized certifications in combination with their full-time degree programs. It will help to secure their footing within an already demanding industry and improve their prospects for future employment.

Through this partnership, students will be able to obtain some of their cybersecurity certifications within their first year of study, with the remaining phases of the program being offered during subsequent semesters. For those who have completed their studies and have graduated, CHARUSAT also offers a 1-year online program for postgraduate students who would like to increase their job market value. Postgraduate students can enroll in five globally recognized EC-Council certification courses that include access to a highly dynamic cyber range through EC-Council’s iLabs platform, designed to help increase cybersecurity knowledge and practical skills.

“The Academia partnership is of immense importance to framing a career path for our students in the cybersecurity industry. Students will be allowed to gain specialized skills in cybersecurity and acquire leading positions in the Indian and international cybersecurity industry,” say Dr. Parth Shah, Professor Priteshkumar Prajapati, and Professor Madhav Ajwalia. “Currently, over 40 CHARUSAT students have enrolled and are preparing for the Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) program.”

“We are very excited to have CHARUSAT join our EC-Council Academia partner program to support students within the Anand, Gujarat region of India,” says Wesley Alvarez, Director of Academics. “Our teams have proactively worked toward establishing a dynamic ecosystem of cybersecurity education for students, focusing on specialized certifications within the Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing track. These specializations will be key to ensuring graduates are ready to enter the workforce with leading red team knowledge and skills to ensure their success at future organizations.”
