EC-Council Acquires OhPhish Technologies

Acquisition helps EC-Council enter the $1.5 Billion Cyber Security solutions market

Hong Kong– April 01, 2019 – EC-Council, world’s leading cybersecurity certification body, announced today the completed acquisition of OhPhish Technologies Pvt Ltd. through its subsidiary Shield Alliance International Ltd for an undisclosed amount.

OhPhish is a startup in Cyber Security solutions space and is based out of New Delhi, India. Their flagship product ‘OhPhish’ is a solution in security awareness space that helps organizations reduce their exposure to cyber risks by strengthening their first line of defence (people). Unique features of OhPhish include phishing, SMiShing and vishing simulations in a single platform which is integrated with eLearning and Gamification modules in a learning management system to help organizations improve their security awareness training. The solution has both a cloud as well as an on-premise version.

OhPhish was founded in September 2017 and its platform is used by clients for driving awareness amongst their employees against social engineering and other Cyber Security threats. In addition to carrying out simulations of possible Phishing attacks, the platform carries out SMiShing and Vishing attack simulations as well. More advanced scenarios involving combination of Phishing and Vishing are also delivered using the platform. The solution is currently being used to deliver services to companies including leading consulting firms, non-banking financial corporations, business conglomerates, pharmaceutical companies, stock broking firms and a stock exchange as well. These clients are based out of countries like US, Malaysia, China (Hong Kong), India, etc.
