ALBUQUERQUE, NM, November 26, 2020 – EC-Council, the world’s leading cybersecurity certification body, today announced the appointment of Karan Henrik Ponnudurai as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Digital Transformation of its group.

At EC-Council, Karan will be spearheading strategy as well as digital innovation and execution across all divisions. This includes actively advising and helping EC-Council implement entry/growth strategies for digital businesses, both regionally and globally, to ensure profitable growth and successful transformation.

Karan’s career spans over 33 years. Before joining EC-Council, he was the Group Chief Digital Officer at Bahrain Telecoms where he was responsible for tackling both organic transformation of legacy operations as well as the development of new digital business strategies and business models in 14 subsidiaries around the world. He was formerly a VP of Softbank Emerging Markets and assumed various leadership roles in HP and -global telecommunications companies in roles such as Group Chief Digital Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and Chief Innovation Officer. He is an engineering alumnus of Stanford University and studied business at INSEAD.
