Did the course help you gain a holistic perceptive on AWS, Azure, and GCP security practices and vendor-neutral concepts?
I would like to use the module on cloud platforms and infrastructure security as an example. From a vendor-neutral point of view, we learned the risk and strengths associated with the cloud infrastructure. In terms of the solution and implementation, we also have a holistic view of similar solutions from different platforms. For example, in order to secure the cloud network, we have exposure to AWS security groups, the Azure NSG–the network security groups and also the VPC firewall from GCP. So
How current and relevant are the various tools and techniques taught in the program, and are they readily applicable to the workplace?
In my personal opinion, all the tools covered in the hands-on labs are very current and relevant to the workplace. For example, in the module on security operation in the cloud, we have the opportunity to use Amazon Inspector to perform vulnerability assessments. We also use the AWS Cloud trail to view the event history as well as the AWS CloudWatch to monitor the resources performances.

As a lecturer, my institution, EM Polytechnic, is the first EC-Council academia partner in Singapore. So,
I after I became Certified Cloud Security Engineer (C|CSE) certified, I became a subject master in the domain of cloud security.
I’m able to provide more guidance and share more experiences with my students. Many of my students are interested in pursuing not only the C|CSE but also some other courses offered by EC Council, such as the Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) and the Certified SoC Analyst (C|SA).
