How has C|CT prepared you well enough to build your foundational skills in cybersecurity?
The C|CT program taught me important skills, such as ethical hacking and dealing with threats, for a career in cybersecurity. It has a lot of hands-on practice with over 80 labs, which made the learning easier, and made me prepare better to handle different cybersecurity challenges.
In C|CT, you learned so many cybersecurity domains like ethical hacking, networking, forensics, SOC, threat intelligence, etc. How important is learning all these domains, especially during the early stage of a career?
Learning different aspects of cybersecurity in the early career is important.
It helps you build a strong foundation to be a skilled and flexible cybersecurity professional. Understanding things like SoC operations, ethical hacking, forensics and networking, and threat intelligence gives you a broad picture of cybersecurity. Early learning not only gives you better skills but also helps you make smart choices about what you focus on later.
Tell us about your experience with C|CT’s labs and the importance of having 80+ labs in an entry-level cybersecurity program. And how have labs helped you?
My time with the C|CT labs was helpful in building my security skills.
Which part or /exercise did you love the most when working with C|CT labs, and why?
Out of all the exercises in the C|CT labs, the illegal hacking part stood out for me.
It let me pretend to be a hacker in a simulated attack situation, helping me learn to find weaknesses and use them ethically.
These hands-on experiences were exciting and helped me a lot. The attacking and defending server security lab was a fun and educational experience that made me even more passionate about ethical hacking and cyber security.
How have the CTF style challenges or /exercises in the course helped you in the learning curve?
The capture the flag challenges in the C|CT course really helped me learn and improve my cybersecurity skills. These challenges create a fun environment where I can use what I’ve learned to solve the real problems on the Beat Simulator.
Participating in CTF challenges helped me think critically, solve problems better, and gain hands-on experience.
Was the C|CT able to help you gain skills more on a technical skills? If yes, how?
C|CT didn’t just teach me theory; it provided me with hands-on experience. With the tailored curriculum over 80 labs, I gained technical skills in areas such as ethical hacking, forensics, SoC operations, networking, and trade intelligence. These practical exercises helped me apply what I learned in the course in real situations, improving my skills and getting me ready for cybersecurity challenges.

What part of the C|CT performance-based exam did you like the most? How was the overall experience of the C|CT exam?
My favorite thing about the C|CT exam was that it focused on practical skills.
Instead of just answering theoretical questions, I got to demonstrate what I called a simulated environment.
