A group of 13 employees from the Dutch Cybercrime team attended the first course at the Dutch Police Academy in January 2013, using EC-Council courseware.
This course was specifically tailored to meet the needs of the Dutch Police Academy. The course consists of topics from EC-Council’s world famous Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) course, combined with topics from the more advanced Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) course.
When asked about his reasons for choosing EC-Council courseware, Wim Draaijer, Coordinator Forensic Investigation Team at the Dutch Police Academy said, “We managed to develop our own courseware, specifically tailored to our internal needs, for many years. Since developing courseware for IT security courses is rather time-consuming, and the lifecycle of it is getting shorter and shorter, we decided to look at courseware vendors who were capable of meeting our needs. The unique opportunity to create our own version of courseware, by choosing topics on a “pick and choose” basis provided us with the option to create a course which does cover our very specific needs with a lot less time invested. The fact that the commercial CEH and CHFI certifications are available for our students is an important value-add for our employees”.
The evaluation of the first course was successful, additional groups are scheduled to attend the same course, starting Q3 2013.
