Two global leaders in cybersecurity training and certification come together to boost cybersecurity workforce development in Iraq through a career initiative scholarship program.
TAMPA, Fla. (March 7, 2023) – The Continuing Education Institute (CEI), a leading education provider in Iraq, and EC-Council, a global cybersecurity training and certification provider, have collaborated to offer the $3.5 million Certified Cybersecurity Technician (C|CT) scholarship program to address the critical cybersecurity workforce gap. Under this partnership, competent individuals in Iraq will be trained and equipped for entry-level cybersecurity positions.
The C|CT program is an entry-level cybersecurity certification that is globally recognized and provides individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to secure critical information assets. As an accredited training partner of EC-Council, CEI aims to equip Iraq’s next generation of cybersecurity professionals with the necessary hands-on skills to address the growing need for cybersecurity experts in Iraq and the Middle East. The partnership will enable CEI to provide its students with world-class training and credentials that will enhance their employability and contribute to the development of Iraq’s cybersecurity industry.

The scholarship program covers the tuition cost of the C|CT certification exam and courseware for eligible CEI students. The program is open to high school students, university students, and working professionals who want to join this industry or who want to switch their career paths.
