EC-Council and Strategic Partner PT MItra Integrasi Informatika Successfully Conduct the First CISO Executive Forum in Jakarta

The CISO Executive Forum 2019 successfully held by PT MItra Integrasi Informatika (MII) in collaboration with EC-Council on February 21, 2019, following the theme “Enhancing Organizational Cyber Security Maturity.”

The event drew the participation of executives from 42 influential regional companies. The purpose of the event was to increase the awareness in the region around industry best practices for CISOs and how to implement true change that can lead to security. The participants at the event had a great time interacting with other attendees during the CISO war game exercise organized and executed by Certified EC-Council Instructor, Faisal Yahya.

“EC-Council wishes to thank each of the executives who travelled long distances to make the Forum a grand success. The motive behind the CISO Executive Forum is to bring a pool of like-minded people together to help and encourage each other.” says Sean Lim, Chief Operating Officer at EC-Council. “Events like this bring awareness to the significant role that every CISO plays in an organization and encourages enthusiasts to aspire to become CISOs.”

“In recent years, information security issues such as IT governance, risk management, compliance, and privacy have increased dramatically in importance to the business world along with the need for information security executives who have deep knowledge about security issues and consequences in their organizations. To address this, MII provided a one-step cybersecurity solution. MII collaborated with EC-Council to provide cybersecurity education solutions ranging from awareness programs all the way to the technical and management level. MII has consulting and advisory services to develop policies and procedures to align with the vision and mission of a company. MII also provides a wide range of technology solutions that help secure organization’s infrastructure,” said Sjafril Effendi, President Director of PT MII.

At present, with increasingly complex security challenges, a CISO is expected not only to have technical competence but also have a variety of skills in order to drive the security of an organization. Investing in CISO education and training is a very valuable investment for any organization.

The CISO Executive Forum will be held on a regular basis to bring decision makers and managers together to understand how the education can help them reach greater heights in their cybersecurity career.

The CCISO is an industry leading program by EC-Council that recognizes the real-world experiences and skills, necessary to achieve the highest information security position in the enterprise. The training and credentialing program have been designed and developed by sitting CISOs for current and aspiring CISOs. The program focuses on information security compliance, governance, strategic management, finance, and technology – all from a managerial perspective.
