EC-Council Partners with AISA to Promote Premier Cybersecurity Training in Australia

Summary: EC-Council (ECC) has partnered with the Australian Information Security Association (AISA) to deliver EC-Council’s most premium training program in the world, Masterclass. ECC and AISA shall work together to build a cybersecurity workforce for the organizations in the region.

Australia (October 07, 2020) – With the world moving online amid the COVID-19 pandemic, remote working makes cyberspace more vulnerable than before. Cybercriminals are making no exceptions during this pandemic, leaving Australia’s businesses on the hunt for skilled professionals who can defend their IT infrastructure from cyber attackers, even post-pandemic. In their latest venture to fill this growing skill gap, EC-Council has collaborated with AISA to impart the MCEHP (Masterclass Certified Ethical Hacker Program) live online to benefit infosec professionals across Australia.

“The industry is in urgent need of skilled cybersecurity professionals that can help organizations and government institutions in Australia build a strong cyber defense,” says Jay Bavisi, CEO of EC-Council Group. “Partnering with AISA is a natural alignment and a good opportunity for cyber enthusiasts in Australia to upskill with our latest ethical hacking skills and methodologies.”

For many years Australia has made the headlines for rampantly growing cyberattacks, with the recent one reported to be a nation-state backed hack that targeted Australian organizations across a range of sectors, including all levels of government, industry, political organizations, education, health, essential service providers, and operators of other critical infrastructure. As reported by News AU, in an urgent press conference in Canberra, Prime Minister Scott Morrison stated that “(the attack) is a sophisticated, state-based cyber actor because of the scale and nature of the targeting and the tradecraft used. Regrettably, this activity is not new. Frequency has been increasing.”

Recent figures also show that the Australian cybersecurity industry needs over 18,000 skilled cybersecurity professionals. The MCEH program by EC-Council will equip aspiring professionals with advanced ethical hacking skills to combat and defend businesses from black-hat hackers.

“The partnership will see EC-Council and AISA combine their expertise to deliver a premier ethical hacking training program that provides industry professionals with the latest cybersecurity tools, techniques, and skills that they need.” – Megan Spielvogel, Operations Manager, AISA

The MCEH Program from EC-Council is among the most sought-after cybersecurity certifications around the globe. This program incorporates instruction and practice to get students ready to take the CEH certification exam and the CEH Practical Exam, making them CEH Masters. By imparting ethical hacking training via masterclasses in collaboration with AISA, EC-Council now creates a wider scope for cybersecurity professionals to learn and upskill.
