The Learning People Partner with EC-Council to Address the Cybersecurity Skills Shortage for Time Constrained Professionals in the U.K.

The self-paced eLearning market grew to $46.9 billion in 2015 and has continued to grow since then, which has encouraged more professionals to achieve their long awaited dreams of becoming certified professionals. Pat Aylmer, CEO and Founder of the Learning People commented, “We’re delighted that we have become an official reseller of C|EH training. As exclusive partners, our students will now receive official content from EC-Council themselves, meaning that we can offer more effective, exam-focused training from the people who created the exam themselves. With the cybersecurity industry facing a skills shortage, we’re delighted to be partnering with EC-Council to help combat the skills gap.”

Europe alone is expecting a shortage of 350,000 cyber security professionals by 2022 with the global shortfall coming to a staggering 1.8m.U.K. business leaders have begun to view cybersecurity as a critical component of their businesses, but this anticipated shortage of approximately 1.8 million cybersecurity professionals has left many organizations unsure of their next step.

“Government, business, and military institutions have increased their demand for certified cybersecurity professionals, and yet we still face a shortage of qualified professionals,” says Jay Bavisi, President of the EC-Council Group, “we are on the constant lookout for ways to provide a more flexible and convenient solution to educate and certify cybersecurity professionals of tomorrow. Through this initiative, our training and certification programs will increase security awareness and the level of competence in an institution.”

EC-Council’s courses and certifications have received a number of accreditations, including  ANSI 17024 and NCSC Certified Training, and have set the standard for what the world has come to expect from cybersecurity courses. The Learning People, as the exclusive EC-Council reseller in the U.K. and Ireland, will be offering all of EC-Council’s courses, ranging from technical courses such as the C|EH, to more strategic/leadership courses, such as C|CISO.
