In a move of strategic importance to the information-security community of Africa, EC-Council, the US-based cybersecurity company, has appointed the Kenya-based inter-governmental institute AFRALTI as its accredited training partner. AFRALTI is all set to train its member group on the latest version of EC-Council’s Certified Secure Computer User certification (CSCUv2). Traditionally, human resources are dubbed as the weakest link in the information-security chain. AFRALTI will deliver EC-Council’s “Cyber Wellness Program” to the African banking sector, thereby mitigating the risk of a breach even at its weakest link. The “Cyber Wellness Program” was developed exclusively for the world’s banking and financial services sector. A partnership with EC-Council will help AFRALTI to provide both training and consulting services to its clientele, who include ICT regulators, broadcasters, ICT policymakers, and government ministries.
